Some on the right have issues with our government telling business what they can or cannot do within the walls of their establishments. I wonder if this latest intrusion will draw the ire of the admittedly stereotypical right-wing prudes that usually scream the loudest about government regulations being placed on business?
The Meade County Commission has passed a second reading of a revised ordinance affecting adult-oriented businesses.
Commissioners say the ordinance is in line with state law.
Any business owner who knowingly allows nudity without a license could be subject to fines or jail time. And businesses that are close to schools and churches might have problems obtaining a license.
Venues that are likely to be most affected are those that cater to patrons during the annual Sturgis motorcycle rally.
Somehow I doubt it seriously.
