Clinton's Latest Excuse

Updates below

Hillary is making news of the less than flattering kind again. Earlier this afternoon she brought up the Robert Kennedy assassination to the editorial board of our own Argus Leader as another reason for her staying in the race.
My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it"

Say What!? Hillary's only chance for the nomination was a gaffe of epic proportions by Barack Obama and instead, she might have provided the gaffe instead.

UPDATE: I pulled the video in favor of the link because the video source is loading ridiculously slow. The Argus has yet to figure out that embedded video thing but they now have a transcript of the comments up to accompany the video.

UPDATE 2: The Hillary comments are catching fire. A few examples below to which I will be adding more if I come across them.

Malkin - Stick a fork in her. She may, at long last, be done.

The Fix - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.), already a longshot for her party's presidential nod, may have unwittingly lengthened the odds of her nomination by referencing the 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in explaining why she remained in the race.

Hillary apologizes - Earlier today, I was discussing the Democratic primary history and in the course of that discussion mentioned the campaigns that both my husband and Senator Kennedy waged in California in June in 1992 and 1968, and I was referencing those to make the point that we have had nominating primary contests that go into June," Clinton told reporters. "That's an historic fact. The Kennedys have been much on my mind in the last days because of Senator Kennedy, and I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and particularly for the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever."
